Good Fences #58

Down on the corner, grass is green and life is good!

The guard llama and mama cow stick close, again.

Turkey Vultures

Drying their wings after a rain.
 An impressive wingspan.
Preening to stay pretty.

I love when they 'totem pole' like this.

More Spring Wildflowers

A few more views of these beauties. First, another meadow shot - because I love this place. :)
More Pink Evening-Primrose
A sprig of Pineleaf Vervain which pops up everywhere.
Another Golden Grounsel bunch.
New sprouts on the Prickly Pear Cactus that grow around here.

A few more looks at the Bluebonnets.

And a variety of shades of our Indian Paintbrush

Paler pink

Deeper red
and even a light buttery yellow.

Although this might be considered an albino version
Here is a prior year shot of some yellows.
April is truly beautiful in Texas.

Like a Flock of Chickens

The Mourning Doves have been numerous this spring. These shots are from last month, gathering to eat the scratch feed I had scattered.

Pretty plumage.

A female Brown-Headed Cowbird behind the dove.

Female Red-Winged Blackbirds get into the mix.
Probably a good thing they're prevalent as I've noticed the resident hawks have selected a few for spring dinners.

Wet Weather Dining

A little damp from rainy weather.
Convertible top UP!

 Wait, the rain is semi-clearing?
Well, then roll the window down a little. :)
 So darn cute!
